Fishing the Indian River Lagoon

At 321 Boat Club we are proud to be centrally located between two dynamic ecosystems. If you are looking to spend a day fishing out on the water then you’ve come to the right place.

The Indian River Lagoon is considered a hot spot for fishing in Brevard County. There are several game fish present within the lagoon. The two most sought after fish are the Redfish and the Sea Trout. Snook and Tarpon are present within the lagoon as well. The shallow sea grass flats provide for a suitable habitat for the Redfish and Trout.

This part of the lagoon system is typically isolated from tide influence as the nearest inlet is over 40 miles away. The heat does affect the fishing though so early mornings and late afternoons are found to be the best times. As far as tackle is considered, using a weed-less lure can be helpful as the fish can generally be found in the shallow sea grass beds.

At your Space Coast boat club we want you to have an unforgettable boating experience. If a day of angling interests you be sure to check out the Indian River Lagoon on your next outing!
